Description
Arlows Heat Protection Mat ? 770 × 385 mm / 11 mm
Same strip as the 6 mm version. Almost twice the thickness.
Multi-layer mat 770 × 385 mm, 11 mm core. Silicate fabric (Kevlar-titanium) inside, reflective face outside. For hot tunnels and floor pans where standoff matters ? bond or rivet.
11 MM, NOT 6 MM
Part 2584, not 2583. More air between radiation and the panel ? noticeable on tunnels and cabin floors.
400 °C / 1100 °C
Continuous reflection up to 400 °C, short-term up to 1100 °C. Front-to-back delta up to 80 °C.
770 × 385 MM
Approx. 0.30 m² long format. One sheet down the tunnel, fewer seams over the exhaust.
BOND OR RIVET
Bond large-area on clean metal. Underbody and vibration: add rivets.
Use cases
- Automotive & motorsport: hot transmission tunnel, underbody over cat/downpipe, firewall span, cabin floor over the exhaust
- Cabin: tunnel and floor pan from inside when 6 mm is not enough
- Vans & commercial: seat console lengthways, double floor, auxiliary heater
- Marine & generators: long bulkhead runs next to the muffler
- Industry & workshop: cable fields with a steeper temperature drop
- Classics: original tunnel in one piece, extra standoff to the panel
Technical data
- Part number: 2584
- Size: 770 × 385 mm (approx. 0.30 m²)
- Build: multi-layer · approx. 11 mm · silicate / Kevlar-titanium fabric + reflective face
- Fixing: self-adhesive and/or rivets
- Continuous reflection: up to 400 °C
- Short-term reflection: up to 1100 °C
- Temperature difference front/back: up to 80 °C
Fitment
Degrease and dry the surface. Reflective face toward the heat. Lay it lengthways on the tunnel, press on, rivet underbodies. Cutting is fine. This is a shield ? it does not replace wrap on the manifold itself.
