Check gearbox identification and oil specification before servicing. Follow the specified temperature and level procedure; inspect magnets, seals and drain plugs as required. Capacity and change interval depend on the transmission or differential.
Frequently asked question
Are GL-4, GL-5 and LS interchangeable?
No. API class, synchroniser requirements and limited-slip friction characteristics must match the design. A higher number or an LS suffix does not automatically make an oil a suitable substitute.
