Arlows 12mm Alu-Kevlar Heat Protection Hose with Velcro Closure (1 Meter)

Arlows heat-sleeve with hook-and-loop, approx. 12 mm I.D., 1 metre

Sold by the metre. Quantity 2 means 2 metres of sleeve.

The sleeve opens along its length. A sewn-in hook-and-loop strip closes it around a line that is already fitted. Plugs and fittings can stay on.

Construction and temperature

• Inner layer: high-temperature Kevlar fabric
• Outer layer: aluminium coating that reflects radiant heat
• Continuous use: up to 300 °C
• Short-term: up to 1000 °C (fabric and coating, not the hook-and-loop tape)
• Inside diameter: approx. 12 mm, about ± 5 mm because of the closure

Keep the hook-and-loop seam off the manifold or downpipe. Add stainless ties if the sleeve can slide.

Use

Open, wrap, close. Intended for lines that sit in a 12 mm sleeve (hose OD a little over 10 mm is typical):

• Wiring looms and sensor leads near the exhaust
• Fuel and oil lines
• Vacuum, coolant and hydraulic hoses of matching outside diameter
• Radiant heat on the line ? not an open flame on the pipe itself

Applications

Engine bays, turbo surroundings, transmission tunnels, industrial plant. A sleeve for lines, not a wrap for the exhaust primary and not a substitute for a heat shield on the pipe wall.
