Description
Arlows 12V pusher cooler fan
Air onto the core, not pulled through it.
This item is the 12 V pusher line. The fan sits in front of the cooler and pushes air through the matrix. At idle, in traffic and at low speed there is no ram air. That is where the pusher holds temperature.
Pick the size on the variant, from 7 inch / 209 mm to 16 inch / 412 mm. Blade and housing are built for a small bay, water and weather resistant, individually balanced. Four mounting tabs clip onto the housing.
Why a pusher?
IN FRONT OF THE CORE
Pusher only in front of the cooler. Behind the cooler, toward the engine or machine, use the puller line. The wrong way, the fan fights itself.
12 VOLT
For 12 V systems, typical range 9 to 16 V. Do not put it on 24 V. Current through a relay and fuse, not the switch.
7 TO 16 INCH
209 mm for a tight duct and an oil cooler, 303 to 361 mm for a car front, 412 mm for a van and a large exchanger. The figure is the housing, the blade is smaller.
NOT ONLY CARS
Same fan on a generator canopy, hydraulic pack, CHP unit, cabinet with a heat exchanger and an agricultural cooler. The core face decides, not the vehicle.
Use cases
- Radiator, oil cooler, gearbox cooler, intercooler with an auxiliary fan
- Idle, traffic, hill climbs, slow speed
- Standby generator, marine genset, hydraulic pack, electrical cabinet
- Not a cabin fan without a guard
Technical data
| Part number | AR8355, parent item |
| Voltage | 12 V, typical range 9 to 16 V |
| Direction | pusher, mount in front of the core |
| Sizes | 7 inch / 209 mm to 16 inch / 412 mm |
| Power | 120 W or 170 W, depending on the variant |
| Build | flow shaped blade, individually balanced |
| Protection | water and weather resistant |
| Mounting | 4 tabs that clip to the housing |
| Other side | choose the puller line separately |
Airflow, current and height sit on the selected size. A 7 inch does not move the same air as a 16 inch.
Fitment
Measure the duct, then pick the variant. Keep a gap to the core or the blade rubs. Clip the tabs, wire the fan only once it sits. Positive through a relay, clean ground. Set the thermostat or switch so the fan comes on as temperature rises and runs on after shutdown.
